Nomar Garciaparra retires as a Red Sox
‎Longtime Boston Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra retired from baseball on Wednesday morning, signing a one-day contract with the Red Sox in order to retire as a member of the team.

@sethmeyers21: “ As coincidence would have it, got some dust in my eyes right as I heard Nomar was retiring as a Red Sox.”
I’m  breaking out my Nomah shirt.

Now maybe they will retire his number since he finished his career in Boston. I would think his H.O.F. hat would be Boston either way.
This signing was a nice way of saying “Thanks for not vetoing the trade in 04”
